Family and Children
What I enjoy most about photographing children is that they do not try to pretend they are someone or something they are not.  My approach to photographing children is to take candid photographs of the children being themselves.  This is usually outside and they are usually playing, but photo sessions can take place anywhere. However, there are times when we want a photo of the entire family together.  So, the setting is a more traditional posed photo, but I still try and capture the spontaneity of the children.

Recently, as we were getting ready for a photo shoot with two young kids, the boy happened to have a spot on his pants.  I was asked, can we get this out.  My first question was, are we talking laundry or photo editing.  The question was a photo editing question.  Quite honestly I never did look to even see if the relatively small spot showed up in any of the photos.  Boys will be boys and I am sure he got a few additional spots on his cloths before we were done.  However, the results were photographs of them having fun and being themselves and that day will live again in everyone’s memories when they look back at those photographs.
